Shrimp

I got a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3 “point-&-shoot” for my birthday this past Christmas and I finally got around to downloading some of the pictures off the card. It’s amazing how many 10mp RAW images fit on a 16gb SD card. I shot this last month at the ABC Seafood Market on Powell, the best and only place to get seafood in Portland. The place is littered with huge tanks full of live fish and crustaceans, a variable hunting ground for “dry” underwater photography. This camera has a beautiful Leica f2.0 wide angle lens and does a nice job of reproducing accurate color and contrast at low ISO’s. Like shrimp, the Lumix-3 is small. I’m not really a fan of point-&-shoot cameras, but it’s nice to have something small available when I don’t have my larger DSLR or Mamiya on hand.

f2.0, 1/30 shutter, ISO 400
