Oaks Park, Skate
It was another rainy dreary gray Sunday in Portland today, so I took a trip down to Oaks Park to see what I could see. I’ve been thinking about producing a series on roller skating. It’s fascinating to me how popular this past-time is here in Portland, and I’m sure it has niche groups all around the world. It strikes me as one of the few things in America that seems to have gone unchanged for so many years. I’ll be interested to see what direction and possibilities a story on rollerskating will unfold.
